Most of us are celebrating getting the kids back to school or looking back fondly at their summer holidays, but at Manor Operatic Society they are already in full panto mode.

The drama group, who are famous for their lavish pantomimes at Sheffield City Hall, have cast two teams of youngsters to play Peter’s playmates in Never Never Land, the Lost Boys, and star roles of John and Michael Darling.

Manor’s rehearsal studios were buzzing when 24 excited young boys who had been chosen from auditions were called back for a special visit.

There are two teams performing over the long panto run and John and Michael were literally ‘on the ceiling’ as they found out that they will be flying above the Sheffield City Hall stage.

The boys were awarded their rehearsal shirts and introduced to the full company.

Peter Pan will be at the Cty Hall from December 28 to January 4.
