Grease, Rotherham Civic

Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks and take a trip to a simpler time as bad boy Danny and the girl next door Sandy fall in love all over again.

The show features all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Greased Lightnin’ and many more.

Steps Productions are back, celebrating their fifth year after their hugely successful version of Les Miserables last year.

Recently Rotherham Mayor and Mayoress John and Kath Foden went to see the cast in rehearsals at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Parkgate, Rotherham.

Show producer Ash White, founder of Steps Productions, said how lovely it was of them to find the time to go and see them and how everyone at Steps Productions appreciates their support.

The youth group was formed by Ash in 2008 and has involved hundreds of local youngsters.

Ther group caters for young people aged 7to 19 who are interested in acting, singing, dancing and performing, as well as the backstage aspects of theatre. They aim to improve self confidence, as well as teamwork and communication skills.

One aim is to help youngsters develop essential life skills such as problem solving, the use of initiative and independence.
