Have your say

n ‘HAVE your eyes ever been checked? No, they’ve always been blue’.

But the Gosforth Semors group is more than a rest home for senior one-liners.

Cast member Fran Larkin has been on TV soap Hollyoaks and other TV and stage productions, and Paul Wilkinson, Hannah Stone and Ross Irwin have all worked professionally in the theatre after starting with the Gosforth Youth Theatre Group.

Abi Thomas and Sarah Fox have been with the Dronfield- based group since they were 11 years old.

“This is the first one I have been in since I was 16,” said Abi, now aged 26.

“It’s a great bit of escapism for us, we love it.”

Sarah, now works as part of Northwest Theatre Arts that puts on plays in schools.

“It’s a nice group to work with,” said Sarah, also 26.

“It’s good to come back here, it’s great fun and there’s no pressure.”
