Wales Methodist Panto Players are having an opening night with a difference tomorrow – oh yes they are!

Tomorrow night’s first performance of their 69th annual pantomime Mother Goose will be dedicated to volunteers in recognition of the great work they do in the community.

The Players have donated 250 tickets to volunteers from a range of local groups including Asperger’s Children and Carers Together, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and Shefield Young Carers among many others.

Spokesman Rachel Habergham said: “We see this as a great way to highlight the important work of all these groups and the role that volunteers play.

“We also hope it will encourage other people to volunteer.”

The show opens at The Montgomery Theatre, Surrey Street, Sheffield, tomorrow night with further performances on Saturday and January 17 and 18.

n Tickets are still available from the ticket line on 01909 809757.
