The Lyceum Theatre Trust and Sheffield Theatres have signed a new lease to ensure the future of the Lyceum Theatre.

The Trust owns the freehold of the theatre and, since it was restored and reopened in 1990, Sheffield Theatres has held a lease to operate the Lyceum.

Trust members have now agreed new terms with Sheffield Theatres to operate, maintain and repair the theatre for the next 35 years.

Trust Chairman David Heugh said: “This is an historic day for the life of the Lyceum Theatre as we have secured the future and fabric of the theatre for the next 35 years.
