The Magic Numbers’ fourth album has been finished for a year and writer and producer Romeo Stodart is anxious for people to hear it.
The band start a major tour later next month to take the new songs to live audiences and Sheffield fans will get chance to hear them on September 15 at the Leadmill.
The writing of Alias took three years with no label or management hassles, no deadlines and little pressure.
“It’s been important to step awayfrom everything that goes with being in a band,” says songwriter and producer Romeo Stodart.
“We all have to live outside the band. It means we can put life experience into our music. We’ve all been doing other things too, family, lots of stuff.
“It’s good now stepping back, there’s a rejuvenated spirit.”
