Sheffield residents are preparing to show their support on Armed Forces and Veterans Day on Saturday.
Locals are invited to enjoy a parade, live music, displays and 1940s themed activities in the city centre.
Veterans will gather on Norfolk Row at 11.30am before the parade at 11.50am.
There will then be a ceremony at 12 noon in the Peace Gardens led by Lord Mayor Coun Talib Hussain.
Coun Isobel Bowler, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “Our annual Armed Forces and Veterans Day is always popular with people of all ages and gives communities the chance to show their support for serving officers and veterans from all conflicts.
“Young people will be able to see displays, find out more about cadets and the armed forces and also get involved with interactive activities, while perhaps the older generations will be more interested in dancing up a storm to the sounds of Ashby Big Band and the Singing Major.”
From 11am and 4pm, the armed forces and reserve services will be in Fargate giving a series of displays and demonstrations, and from 12 noon to 3pm, people can step back in time with ‘make do and mend’ activities in the Winter Garden.
