Radio One breakfast show DJ Nick Grimshaw will host a music pub quiz in Sheffield as part of a mini city festival.

The BBC radio and TV presenter will test locals’ musical knowledge at Tamper: Seller’s Wheel in the city centre on March 12.

The event is part of Topman 24, a free festival of specially-curated events and live performances organised by Topman.

A spokesman said: “Shoppers will be able to receive a wristband from the Fargate store and wearers will be able to gain access to any of the scheduled Topman 24 events.

“Throughout the day, each store will host DJs and the chance for 24 customers to win their shopping.”

The Sheffield leg of the festival, which is also taking place in Glasgow, Brighton and Manchester, will be held on March 12-13.

The wristband collection is at noon. Then at 3pm there will be a ‘Play and Tell’ session at 156 Arundel Street, where Nick Grimshaw will discuss all things music with a top lineup of talent. Guests will include Joy Division and Stone Roses photographer Kevin Cummins; This is England producer Mark Herbert; This is England star Thomas Turgoose; and Reset Records director Oliver Ledger.

The music pub quiz will be held from 5pm before a party at The Harley headlined by Waze and Odyssey and Star Slinger.

The Fargate store will host a ‘hangover breakfast’ with live DJs from 10am the following morning.
