Runners entered in the Sheffield Half Marathon are being offered exclusive deals on running gear, as well as a group training run in preparation for the big event on Sunday, April 6.
Running wear specialist Sweatshop at Meadowhall has organised three 20 per cent off events in store on Thursday, March 20, and Thursday, April 3, from 10am to 9pm for Sheffield Half Marathon runners
A group training run will set off from the Meadowhall store on Thursday, March 20, at 6pm, where runners can help each other to prepare for the 13.1 mile route.
Jim Noble, manager at the Meadowhall Sweatshop store, described the run as a fantastic event catering for runners of all abilities from charity runners to athletes at an elite standard.
He said: “By holding these special training events and discounts, we hope to help more people to sign up and take part in the race.”
Margaret Lilley, chairperson of the SIG Insulation Sheffield Half Marathon, urged runners to take advantage of the deals on offer.
She said: “The training events are a great idea and we hope that runners go along to the store to help themselves prepare for the race that takes place in just over five weeks!”
