YOUNG actors brought the classic and colourful work of Dr Seuss to life at Rotherham Civic Theatre.
The youth theatre group Steps Productions ran Seussical the Musical between Monday and Thursday last week.
All the actors who performed the amalgamation of Dr Seuss’ most famous books were aged between seven and 19.
The musical - first performed on New York’s Broadway in 2000 - features a young boy, JoJo, bringing together the weird and wonderful tales of The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant and The Grinch.
Jojo is scolded by his parents for thinking imaginary thoughts which disrupt his school classes and anger his teachers.
But his thoughts soon spiral out of control - which resulted in a magnificent display of colour and music for the audience at the theatre.
