TELEVISION magician Paul Daniels is conjuring up a night of family fun at Rotherham Civic Theatre next month.

The entertainer, who last month had to have surgery to re-attach a finger after an accident with a saw while building new props, will appear on Friday, March 9.

He will be helped in his illusions by his glamorous assistant and wife Debbie McGee, plus son Martin.

Rotherham Theatres manager Mark Scott said: “Paul is a genuine superstar.

“It’s rarely the case that we can say we have someone of Paul’s calibre to grace the stage of the civic theatre.”

The show - Paul Daniels: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow - will be performed from 7.30pm.

For tickets, priced £17.50, log on to www.rotherham.gov.uk/theatres or call 01709 823 621.
