SHIVER me timbers!
Five-year-old William Capehorn, of Cantley, looked every inch the pirate captain when he joined the themed entertainment at the Lakeside Village Shopping Centre on Bank Holiday Monday.
He was among dozens of youngsters taking part in the pirate-themed event and gave entertainer The Great Lorenzo a run for his money with his costume.
The party took place from 11am until 4pm and the entertainment included The Great Lorenzo’s Pirate Magic Show and a pirate treasure hunt. Kids with creative flair were spoilt for choice with a children’s craft workshop where they made pirate flags, hats and eye patches.
There was also was a pirate bouncy castle and slide, face painting, activity skills workshop and balloon modelling.
Cheryl Sadler, centre manager at Lakeside said: “Sometimes it can be difficult to keep little ones amused, but our pirate-themed activities seemed to put a smile on everyone’s faces.”
