SPICING up the Christmas lights switch-on in Sheffield will be former Spice Girl Melanie C and YOU could be helping her!
The Star is giving one lucky reader this prize of a lifetime after teaming up with Sheffield City Council and Real Radio - who are bringing the entertainment and hosting the main stage in Barker’s Pool, outside Sheffield City Hall, on Sunday, November 20.
All we want you to do is tell us why you deserve the job.
Or you can nominate someone, perhaps an inspirational member of your family, or a friend.
Our editorial team will select a short-list so Star readers can pick an outright winner, who will help Melanie C to press the button to turn on the lights.
The winner can take a guest backstage.
Also performing on the Real Radio stage are ex-Neighbours heartthrob turned singer Sam Clark, Eli Prime, Paul Thomas, Liam Blake, Nem, Jay Mya, dance group Hype, gospel choir Shilohm, panto stars and more.
Real Radio presenters sharing the spotlight will include the breakfast show stars Dixie and Gayle, plus Elisa Hilton, Pete Edgerton and Daryl Denham.
For a chance to help switch on the lights and take a guest - if a child wins the guest must be an adult - tell us in no more than 100 words why it should be you, or your nomination.
If you are nominating somebody get their approval, or that of a parent if the nominee is aged under 18.
Send your full name, age, address and daytime contact details, and if applicable of your nominee. Do not send supporting material.
