A Sheffield adventure playground completed a successful summer by welcoming the city’s Cabinet adviser for children and families, Coun Jackie Drayton.
Coun Drayton visited the Pitsmoor playground with her granddaughter, who she said didn’t want to leave.
She said: “The playground offers a great experience for children and families. The service was excellent and all of the staff and volunteers were very welcoming, it really is a brilliant community resource.”
Chair of the organising committee Yanina Koszalinski said: “Our staff and volunteers are working hard to ensure that this is a happy, welcoming and fun place to be for children and their families.
“Every week we have new children and families coming to use the facilities and the number of children regularly using the playground has dramatically increased.”
Playground staff are now working to prepare an innovative winter programme at the centre.
