HARK the herald angels sing!

Pupils from a South Yorkshire school sang their hearts out at a carol concert held at a nearby old people’s complex.

The youngsters from Aston Fence Primary School, Rotherham, travelled across the Sheffield border and were welcome guests at the Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village, in Woodhouse.

The children also helped switch on the Christmas lights there with the help of Dr Paula McGinty, from the local health centre.

Later came a visit from Santa with two of his reindeer and the fun came to an end with a sing song and buffet.
