EMPLOYEES from two Sheffield Peugeot dealerships are pushing a Peugeot 208 a whopping 52 miles to raise money for Children In Need.
The novelty fundraiser has 30 employees from around the region currently pushing the car on 208 laps around Don Valley Stadium.
“It was my idea and there have been times in the past 14 hours when I’ve doubted the sanity of it,” David Lee, General Sales Manager, told The Star.
“It’s freezing out here, the car’s freezing and heavy, but we’re getting there and the support has been immense.”
The fundraiser has already smashed its goal of £3000 and the money is still pouring in. The team, which started pushing at 7pm yesterday, will continue pushing until 7pm tonight.
