It was all “really wild” at the weekend when TV’s Michaela Strachan was in town.

The presenter of BBC favourites Countryfile and Springwatch star thrilled more than 5,000 children and their families during a fun-packed weekend at the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Branton.

On both days, she presented her own children’s show at the Animal Action Theatre. And on Saturday she joined in the first of this year’s Safari Nights, hosting a special evening talk on animal conservation.

YWP Director Cheryl Williams said: ”It was an incredible weekend. We are delighted so many came to enjoy the weekend whilst also raising funds for our own charitable foundations and other charities to protect endangered species.”
