A CELEBRITY chef has been lined up to help boost Peak District tourism by showcasing its culinary delights.

Simon Rimmer, who fronts Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, will be guest of honour at the Visit Peak District and Derbyshire tourism conference on Wednesday.

The presenter will be joined by high-profile Derbyshire chef Simon Bradley in a cook-in session. The pair will prepare a two-course meal for the Duke of Devonshire at the day-long event at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton.

This year’s event is aiming to highlight the importance of food and drink in making the Peak District a unique tourist attraction. The conference will also feature an exhibition of over 60 of the area’s best producers and traders which will be open to the public from 9am until 3pm.
