Tramlines up for UK award

MUSIC lovers are being asked to submit their votes after a Sheffield festival was nominated for a national award.

The Tramlines Festival is in the running for the Fans’ Favourite Festival prize at the UK Festival Awards.

Tramlines, nicknamed the ‘Urban Glastonbury’, involved scores of gigs which were held at venues across the city.

The festival, in July, attracting huge crowds of 175,000 over the weekend.

Everyone who votes will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win two tickets to every winning festival at this year’s awards.

Voting runs until 5pm on October 10, and finalists and winners will be announced during a ceremony at The Roundhouse in London on November 15. Log onto www.festivalawards.com/vote to vote for Tramlines.
