BARGAINS galore are on offer at Chesterfield’s markets this summer.
The historic indoor and outdoor market area has been highlighted by the borough council as the place to snap up everything from vegetables to vintage clothes, toys to antiques.
Chesterfield’s traditional open air market has been going since at least the year 1165.
Coun Nick Stringer, leisure, culture and tourism cabinet member at the council, said: “We take great pride in having such a thriving market and being able to offer a wide variety of products to residents and thousands of visitors who come each year to see what’s on offer.
“We’re urging people to take some time over the summer holidays to visit as we’re sure they’ll have a great day out and pick up some fantastic bargains!”
The general market is open every Monday, Friday and Saturday. A flea market runs on Thursdays and a farmers’ market every second Thursday of the month.
