COLOURFUL displays of dancing will provide a spectacle for visitors to Chesterfield.
On Saturday, September 8, the town is hosting a Day of Dance. It takes place at Rykneld Square, next to St Mary’s Church.
The event will kick off at 10.30am and there will be a continuous programme of dancing through to 3.30pm.
Chesterfield Morris and Garland Teams, Feet First Appalachian Dancers, the Byrne School of Irish Dancing, Belly Dance Flames, Tango Chesterfield and Brunito’s salsa dancing are all due to perform.
New for this year is cheerleading, Zumba, burlesque and hip hop from Unit 3.
Visitors will be able to find out about the dance groups and how to join.
There will also be chance to view Chesterfield’s well dressing in the Market Place.
