Another steam engine appearing in a new livery is the Doncaster-designed Tornado which will be back in Yorkshire for the Bank Holiday.
The A1 locomotive, which has just been unveiled at the National Railway Museum in its new livery of Brunswick green, will arrive at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering on Wednesday, May 25.
Tornado will be put into operation on Thursday, May 26 which marks the 175th anniversary day since the Whitby to Pickering line was first opened in 1836. As well as hauling passenger services during the day, Tornado will also haul a special Anniversary Pullman dining service that evening.
This famous locomotive will be running on the NYMR on selected dates between May 26 and June 5.
