VISITORS to Sheffield Cathedral can enjoy a lunchtime piano recital later this month.

Emmanuel Vass is playing in the cathedral on May 29 at 1.15pm, and entry to the concert is free.

The young pianist will be performing a varied programme, including pieces by Bach, Haydn and Chopin, as well as a medley of James Bond themes.

Emmanuel – known as Manny – recently graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and has since accompanied stars such as Lulu.

Sheffield Cathedral hosts lunchtime recitals most Tuesdays and Fridays.

Other forthcoming artists include cello player Diana Wuli and organist Joshua Stephens.
