A SOUTH Yorkshire theatre is gearing up for its annual pantomime, which is set for a week-long run from next Saturday.
The Dearne Playhouse in Goldthorpe is hosting a production of Dick Whittington from January 21 to 28.
The play is being put on by the theatrical section of the Dearne Community and Miners Welfare Scheme, and is being produced by Simon Carr from 2Act Theatre.
A script has been specially written by Karl Ridsdale from the theatre, and the title role will be taken by Jessica Boulton, who has appeared on the TV’s Tonight’s The Night.
Performances take place at 7pm from January 24 to 28 and matinees on January 21, 22 and 28. Tickets cost £7 for adults, £23 for families and £6 concessions.
