A one-day music event run by volunteers at The University of Sheffield students’ union is returning for 2014 on Bank Holiday Weekend, Sunday May 4.

This year there will be a special emphasis on involving the wider community in the Contours Festival.

The free celebration of world music, from noon to 4pm, will be in The Piazza, the new outdoor space created at the students’ union building in Western Bank.

There will also be family- friendly interactive stalls, origami sessions by the university’s Papercraft Society, instrumental workshops run by the Indonesian Society, world flag face painting, and a cinema screening of Disney’s animated hit Frozen, priced £2.50.

The festival will raise money for city charity Sheffield Young Carers.
