Budding young performers can try out for roles in The Sound of Music this weekend.

Croft House Theatre Company is holding auditions for children’s roles in the production, which will be staged at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield in March next year.

Fourteen youngsters are needed, all with strong singing and acting abilities.

Children auditioning must be aged between five and 16 in March next year, and must be no more than 5ft 2ins tall.

Auditions are being held at Park Library on Duke Street, Sheffield, from 8.45am on Sunday, September 4. Auditionees will be seen in groups of 15 and should wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring any food and drink they may need for the day, as well as sheet music for a song of their choice.

Those cast will be expected to commit to a rehearsal schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and some Sundays. Visit www.crofthouse.info/contact for details.
