Duck, in a curry? We must be quackers to consider it.
It’s the first time I’ve seen the bird on an Indian menu, and it did not arrive in a hurry. We waited over an hour for delivery.
But the duck special buna ordered had succulent, thick, slices of the slightly sweet meat, in a rich but medium sauce and chunky veg.
It was a tad pricey, at £7.95, but you get what you pay for.
Both spicy and plain poppadoms were crispy, not greasy. The keema naan was fluffy, yet lacking in the meat filling. He was disappointed with a lamb shashlik bhuna - with a medium hot tandoori masala sauce - as more than half of the lamb chunks were fatty.
Starter of mixed kebab undid some of the damage, as the meat was tender and juicy.
