SWIMMERS will be fish out of water when the Doncaster Dome closes its pool for a month to carry out routine maintenance work.
The pool will be closed from Monday, November 5, until Friday, November 30, and will reopen to the public on Saturday, December 1.
The Dome, which is run by Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, will be open as normal during the period and all other activities at the venue, including the ice rink, will not be affected by the temporary closure.
The eight swimming pools at the Trust’s other leisure venues across the borough, including St James Leisure Centre and Armthorpe Leisure Centre, will remain open.
Michael Hart, chief executive of the Trust, said: “We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience the temporary closure of the swimming pool will cause due to essential maintenance work.
“We have a number of other swimming pools throughout Doncaster that are all still open during this time and our regular Dome swimmers will receive a warm welcome at all these venues.”
