A BRAVE girl from Sheffield left in constant pain by a blood vessel disorder had her spirits lifted when she met her comedy hero.
Emily Skipworth, aged 11, from Mosborough, paid a visit to meet Miranda Hart when she appeared at Meadowhall for a signing of her new book.
The youngster is a huge fan of Miranda’s self-titled BBC One sitcom, and repeatedly watches her DVDs.
Emily, the middle child of five sisters, fell seriously ill with small vessel vasculitis aged five, and has been mostly housebound since.
The condition causes constant and severe nerve pain – Emily has no feeling in some areas of her body, and is fed via a tube as she has no sensation of hunger or thirst.
The meeting was arranged by the national charity Dreams Come True.
