As BBC One’s smash hit entertainment show Strictly Come Dancing returns to our TV screens this month, tickets for the 2015 Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour will go on sale from 9am on Monday 29 September 2014.

The Live Tour will stop off at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield for two shows, including a matinee performance on Tuesday 27th January 2015.

Tickets purchased online or from the ticket hotline are priced: £71.50 Gold Circle Floor Seats, £49.50 & £38.50 including booking fee. Tickets purchased in person at the Arena Box Office are priced: £68.25 Gold Circle Floor Seats, £47.25 & £36.75 including booking fee.

Audiences will experience Strictly’s glitz, glamour and breathtaking choreography in this supersized arena spectacular as some of the celebrities and professional dancers from the hugely anticipated twelfth BBC series take to the dance floor to recreate their dazzling moves. Details of celebrities appearing on tour will be announced over the next few months.

The judges will be offering their invaluable wisdom and all important scores, featuring the am-a-zing Craig Revel Horwood, who is directing the live show for the fifth year running. As well as competing for the judges’ scores, the celebrities and their dance partners will vie for votes from the audience, who can text vote via their mobile phones and ultimately decide who wins the prized Glitterball Trophy at each performance.

The 31 show spectacular will open at The NIA, Birmingham on 16 January 2015. The tour will then visit some of the biggest entertainment venues across the UK: The Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena, the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Liverpool’s Echo Arena, The SSE Arena in Wembley before culminating at The O2 Arena, London on 8 February.

The tour has received rave reviews in the national newspapers since it began in 2008 – the Daily Mail heaped praise on the 2014 production in a glowing 4 Star review and the Daily Telegraph said: “Lose yourself in Strictly’s stylishly choreographed wonderland”. The Mail on Sunday have previously said of the tour: “Pure Strictly magic, and as good as it gets.”

Last December a peak audience of 12.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the nail-biting Strictly final on BBC One, when model Abbey Clancy was crowned the winner in the first ever all female final. The television format, also known as Dancing With The Stars, is one of the most successful TV formats ever created and has been sold into over 50 countries around the world.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Monday 29th September, in person at the Arena Box Office, by phone on 0114 256 5656 or online at www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk.
