IT’S panto time - oh yes it is - if you’re quick enough to snap up tickets for Dick Whittington.
The show, performed by a fabulous cast from Manor Operatic Society, starts at Sheffield City Hall tomorrow.
Some tickets are left for family-friendly performances but they are selling fast.
The society’s Linda Kelly said: “Rehearsals are going brilliantly and some performances are more or less sold out.
“This is probably one of the biggest pantos in the country and it is still family friendly, we try to sell tickets at an affordable cost so families can still have a Christmas treat.”
One performance that is definitely full is a special show for 2,000 disadvantaged youngsters and children with special needs. The event has been organised by The Ants Kids Charity on January 8 and youngsters can also enjoy ice creams and free gifts thanks to generous sponsors.
The Manor Operatic’s version of the classic tale of a poor boy who becomes LOrd Mayor of London, is full of humour and family fun.
Linda added: “It’s a great day out not just for kids but parents and grandparents too.”
