CAR stickers are being used to try to get more people to use a Doncaster park.

Car dealer Perrys, based on Wheatley Hall Road, is backing the Friends of Sandall Park by helping to produce a car rear window sticker to help promote the park within the community.

The company says it is hoping people will display the stickers with pride in cars across the area to raise awareness and attract more visitors to the park.

The scheme has been set up by the Friends of Sandall Park, a group of people who are dedicated to trying to improve the park for the benefit of the birds and wildlife.

The organisation, made up of a team of volunteers, was set up five years ago and since then has worked with a series of professionals from various agencies towards improving the area.

Stephen Eyre, general manager at Perrys on Wheatley Hall Road, said: “We are delighted to be involved with such a wonderful project.

“Sandall Park is a fantastic place to visit and houses some beautiful wildlife and scenery.

“We hope that the car rear window stickers will spread the word and attract more and more people to visit the park.”
