MEMBERS of the Dearne Playhouse is doing its bit for a charity to support Britain’s soldiers.
The Goldthorpe playhouse’s many talented performers have got together and created a variety show filled with dances, songs and dramatic performances.
The aim of the show is to raise at least £2,000 in aid of the Help For Heroes Charity.
The performance is in tribute to Private Matthew Thornton, of Darton, and a member of the Territorial Army, who was killed in Afghanistan last November.
All proceeds from ticket prices, raffle and donation boxes are going directly to Help For Heroes - in Matthew’s family’s name - to help those who have suffered in the same line of duty that he was in.
Attending this performance is a way of supporting the Help for Heroes cause.
The variety show is at 7pm on Friday, April 20.
Tickets are £5 and available on the door.
