THE Doncaster Wheatsheaf Singers performed their annual Co-operative Group charity concert to raise cash for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

This year’s show at Doncaster Minster saw £1,700 raised for the charity, based at Dinnington.

The concert was sponsored by South Yorkshire and Chesterfield Area Committee of the Co-operative Group and also featured the Slaithwaite Brass Band.

Choir spokeswoman Dorothy Miller said: “I am delighted with the amount that has been raised, which was only possible because of the generosity of the Co-operative Group who fully covered all the expenses.”
