Employees at data communications company - Transaction Network Services - have their sights focused on another trophy as they gear up for the Great Yorkshire Run Business Challenge.
TNS Employees will join Team Theo and pound the streets of Sheffield as part of the company’s ongoing support for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
The team took home the winners’ trophy after last year’s Great Yorkshire Run with the best time across all categories and won an additional plaque for ‘male winner’ in the medium business category.
Jo Moorwood, marketing director at TNS, said: “This is the third year we’ve joined Team Theo for the Great Yorkshire Run and it’s great to be back and continuing our support for such a worthy cause. We have lots of employees who are into keeping fit and we are hopeful they will take part again this year.”
For some employees, the Great Yorkshire Run will be their first 10K event, but they will be joined by more seasoned runners.
Jo said: “You don’t have to be a runner either. Our staff have walked it in the past and we make sure we open it up to people of all ages and fitness abilities. Whether you’re a six minute miler or a 20 minute miler, it’s still great fun.”
Brian Rose, technical solutions consultant at TNS said: “We’re back and stronger than ever to defend our title this year, with a different team and some fresh motivation. It felt amazing to win last year and to do it for a fantastic cause was such a buzz. It’s great to be back, catch us if you can.”
