Sheffield students transform homeless charity gifts into huge picture

Kind-hearted people in Sheffield took part in an Art Attack-style ‘Bigger Picture’ event in aid of homeless charity the Cathedral Archer Project.

Dozens of people took sleeping bags, carrier bags, men’s clothing, boxes of cereal and tins of food to event, held at the Heartspace Café in Sheffield Hallam University’s city centre Owen Building.

The event, organised by the university’s student community action project, saw the items laid out on the floor to create a giant picture of a house, in the same way presenter Neil Buchanan used to create big pictures in the 1990s TV show Art Attack.

Jess Dodsley, event organiser, said: “The giant picture was created using items which could then all be donated to the charity and we’d like to thank everybody for their contributions on the day.”
