GET stuck in - that’s the Sheffield Steelers ice hockey stars who polished off a mountain of meat when they were asked to reopen a pub.
The Steelers declared the Belfry pub, Eckington Road, Sothall, officially open following a £400,000 refit.
Previously operated as a tenanted pub, it has been transformed into Sheffield’s first Flaming Grill.
Gary Acey, general manager of the Belfry, said: “We were thrilled the Steelers accepted our offer to open the pub.
“They definitely seemed to enjoy themselves, tucking into the king-size mixed grill.
“This is a new era for the pub and with our partnership with the Steelers and great new look and offer, I’m looking forward to a very successful future as a hub of the local community.”
