Sheffield singer Jarvis looks at nocturnal life

MUSIC may be Sheffield songwriter Jarvis Cocker’s main passion – but the performer is set to expand his burgeoning career on the airwaves by fronting a new show on BBC Radio 4.

Jarvis is presenting Wireless Nights, a new four-part series about people’s nocturnal habits, which starts tomorrow at 11pm.

During the run, Jarvis visits a pub lock-in, a lonely prisoner and a drunk who sleeps in an empty building.

The Pulp frontman also hosts a weekly show on BBC 6 Music.
