Sheffield model railway buffs got on the right track when they held their annual exhibition at a city school.

The two day event at Birkdale School in Broomhill featured 20 layouts in a variety of gauges depicting railways from Aberdeen to Miami, with some of the best examples created by Sheffield enthusiasts.

There were also modelling demonstrations, a variety of trade stands, and special events for younger visitors.

Also represented were a number of railway preservation societies from around the country.

It was the 10th year running that the society has held its big weekend at the school on Oakholme Road.
