DISPLAYS of wild flowers at the Olympic Park in London have been wowing Games visitors – and providing a floral gold for Sheffield.

They were developed by city scientists and have been planted in Sheffield for several years by Manor-based landscape firm Green Estate.

Pictorial Meadows, part of Green Estate, helped grow and supply seeds used to create the Olympic meadows.

And residents can see the blooms on their doorstep at Sheffield Manor Lodge as it undergoes a transformation.

A Manor Lodge spokesman said: “The demonstration beds have performed brilliantly and present a spectacularly colourful display.”
