A teenager from Sheffield has been given expert advice from a host of the UK’s top female executives at a special girlguiding camp.
Alexandra Webb, aged 14, a member of the Hallam West Division Rangers, was one of 20 girls mentored by leading female executives during the girls-only camp in Bedfordshire.
The project, supported by the People’s Postcode Lottery, was launched by girlguiding to encourage more young women to aim for the top. Alexandra was coached by top female executives on everything from interview skills to building confidence.
Alexandra, a pupil at Tapton School in Crosspool, said: “I’ve learned that there isn’t a set path to success, you should take risks and opportunities and think about what’s best for you.”
