Sheffield galleries host creative Christmas shopping events

Sheffield’s galleries are throwing open their doors to offer an artistic alternative to Christmas shopping.

Artists and designers will come together for festive events featuring handmade gifts, festive workshops, live music and winter warmer refreshments.

Gift hunters can escape the bustle of the high street to attend special shopping nights at city galleries, between 5pm and 8pm on November 20 and December 4.

During the evening events visitors can enjoy browsing gifts, live music, drop-in workshops and mulled wine,

There will also be and two family-friendly shopping days, from 11am to 5.30pm on November 29 and December 13.

The days will showcase a huge range of artwork, handmade gifts, designer made homeware and pop-up shops, featuring local and international artists and designers.

Entry is free to all participating venues: Site Gallery, Made North, APG Works, 99 Mary Street, B&B Gallery, Millennium Gallery, S1 Artspace, Bloc Projects and Yorkshire Artspace.
