Music lovers are invited to enjoy an evening of entertainment at an autumn charity concert.

Arranged by Abbeydale Rotary Club, the Sheffield event will raise funds for Maternity Worldwide, a charity saving lives in childbirth in developing countries.

The concert takes place at 7pm tomorrow at Birkdale School, Oakholme Road, Broomhill.

There will be performances by Dore Male Voice Choir and pupils from King Ecgbert and Birkdale schools.

Alex Ritchie, president of Abbeydale Rotary Club, said: “The previous concerts run by the club were to help to fund our Young Artists’ Competition, the largest children’s art competition in the UK, but this time we are looking at our international activities, raising money to equip a mother and baby centre in Uganda, working alongside Maternity Worldwide.

“Our thanks go out to our performers; the young people from both Birkdale and King Ecgbert’s Schools and our old friends from the Dore Male Voice Choir who have, over the years, come up trumps for us.”

n Tickets are £12 and available from Julia Massey on 0114 2817557.
