A group of talented artists are preparing to showcase their work to audiences overseas.
Liz von Graevenitz, based at Sheffield’s Bloc Studio, has picked three fellow creative people from the city to take part in an international art exchange programme.
Those selected - David Jones, Susanne Palzer and Kirsteen Hardie - have collaborated on a project which focuses on the concept of being a stranger in an imagined foreign place.
As part of the exchange scheme, the artists will travel to Slovakia on Tuesday to display their work at a five-day exhibition at Nastupiste 1-12, a multi-media space in Topolcany town centre.
In return, a group of artists from Slovakia will visit Sheffield to present their art work at Bloc Studios between October 31 and November 6.
Liz said: “This a great opportunity for artists from different countries to understand each others’ processes, network, and share ideas.
“Kirsteen, David and Susanne have drawn on their individual practices to create a very exciting body of work for the event.
“It will include a performance on the opening night by Kirsteen, a site specific installation by Susanne, and a set of triptych paintings by David.”
