SHEFFIELD project Art in the Park is celebrating Shakespeare with an exhibition which opens this Friday.

Work produced during community sessions is going on display at The University of Sheffield’s Jessop West Foyer, opposite the Henderson’s Relish building, weekdays from June 12 to 21, from 8.30am to 5.30pm each day.

Project manager Cassie Kill said: “We have been bringing Shakespeare’s sonnets to three groups of people not normally associated with his work - older people from Sheffield Homes supported housing schemes, long-term NHS service users, and young people not in work or training.

“The groups created artwork and their own creative writing.”

Wine and nibbles will be served at a launch tomorrow.
