Shoppers are being urged to take a break from buying to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.

Sheffield’s Crystal Peaks centre is hosting a carol service in the food court on Sunday, December 22.

Seasonal refreshments will be served from 4pm before the sing-a-long starts at 4.30pm.

The service is free and has been organised by Crystal Peaks Church, which meets every Sunday at Crystal Peaks Library.

Manager Lee Greenwood said: “We are delighted to be sharing this special moment with the Crystal Peaks Church congregation and our many visitors.

“This is one of our busiest weekends of the year so it will be particularly nice for our visitors to be able to take time out to reflect on what Christmas is really about.”
