Auditions for the 2015 series of Britain’s Got Talent are going local - with sessions to be held at a South Yorkshire college.
The programme’s biggest ever audition tour visits Rotherham College for the first time on Wednesday December 3 from noon onwards.
It’s part of a process which is taking in communities and towns across the country in a bid to find the most wonderful, weird and astounding acts.
The college has been seelcted as it is seen as a hub for young talent.
Ex-students include Lee Malia, lead guitarist in successful rock act Bring Me The Horizon, and Nikki Taggart, former acting student who currently stars in the West End and in films.
Both took performing arts courses which have seen students go on to perform at such venues as The Crucible and the National Theatre in London.
Those successful at the sessions will be invited to go before the judges on their audition tour next year.
Executive producer Amelia Brown said: “BGT has an amazing record of celebrating talent and changing people’s lives – from Susan Boyle and Diversity through to Paul Potts and Collabro.”
