A NEW play designed to promote road safety in South Yorkshire schools is being premiered tomorrow in Rotherham.

Consequences is to be performed to teenagers at Thomas Rotherham College, along with members of the South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership.

The production has been put together by the Theatre In Education group together with students at the college, and will go on to tour the county.

It aims to influence young people’s attitudes to risk taking, to encourage discussion of topics such as peer pressure, making the right decision, vehicle crime and the consequences of a collision on so many people, not only the victim.
