A REVEREND will take centre stage when she performs six minutes of stand up comedy for Comic Relief tomorrow.
Revd Louise Tinniswood, a Curate in the Diocese of Sheffield, is hoping to bring the house down at a Charity Gala in Sheffield’s City Hall.
Louise, who serves her curacy at St Saviour’s, Auckley and Holy Trinity and St Oswald’s, in Finningley, Doncaster impressed judges during an audition and was chosen to go through to ‘bootcamp’ at BBC Radio Sheffield, where Breakfast Show presenter Toby Foster, who also runs Sheffield’s Last Laugh Comedy Club, gave some coaching.
Louise said: “I really enjoy writing and performing stand-up and being able to do it for Comic Relief is a great opportunity.
“I also hope it might begin to alter some of the stereotypes people have of what vicars are like.”
