The seventh annual Rotherham Fun Fest takes place on Saturday, September 1, at Eldon Playing Fields in Eastwood, Rotherham, from 12noon to 3.30pm.

Organisers of the free event have laid games and activities including laser quest, a funfair, a climbing wall, live entertainment, zorb walkers, food stalls, arts and crafts, henna tattooing, and free dog microchipping.

Bringing a taste of musical sunshine to the event will be roots reggae stars Ossie Gad and the Ites Band. The seven piece, formerly known as the Natural-Ites, topped the reggae charts in the 1980s.

The event has been organised by the Eastwood Village Community Association. Alcohol is not allowed, to preserve the family feel.
